Safe Haven Recognition

Writer: Team JannatyTeam Jannaty

We are proud to announce that our charity shop has been approved as a 'Safe Haven' by Islington Council in December 2024.

This means that our shop is now a recognised place of safety for anyone in the community who feels threatened, harassed, unwell, or in need of assistance, as well as being a welcoming space, our shop is here for you.

As a Safe Haven, we are committed to providing:

• A friendly face and reassurance.

• Assistance in contacting the police, family, or friends.

• Directions or public transport information.

Women in our community can now come into our shop to access help if they need it.

If you are in immediate danger, please call the police on 999.

For more information about the Safe Havens scheme, visit Islington Council's website: https://www.islington.gov.uk/community-safety/safe-havens-scheme

We are here to support you and ensure that our community remains a safe and welcoming place for everyone.

Together, we're creating a kinder, more supportive community.
